CAN WE GO A LITTLE DEEPER?

Can we go a little deeper,
to a place where words mean nothing,
but time spent erases the pain of yesterdays mistakes.

Can we go a little deeper,
to a place where we could chase our dreams,
cause a fallen tear aint always what it seems.

Can we go a little deeper,
to a place where I can splash in your splendor,
where your tears are a joyous waterfall to which I surrender.

Can we go a litte deeper,
to a place that holds the feeling of our first kiss,
to a time that doesn't exsist to the watch on my wrist.

Can we go a little deeper,
to a place where the world is our stage,
deeper than the thoughts behind the words on this page.

Can we go a little deeper,
to a place that is beyond our hearts,
because time waits for no one, so that's the best place to start.

Can we go a little deeper,
because that's where love begins,
the opening to a story that has no ends.

Can we go a little deeper?

I viewed the body,

but his spirit had already left with God.

And God makes no mistakes,

so place ya bets 'cause the stakes are high,

but higher are the odds

of losin if you're choosin

to question or go against the path that He laid.

See I believe in Jesus Christ,

and he paid

for our sins, so let's win.

Yes, we're hopin for a Resurrection,

but for now we give affection

to those who are in mourning.

And when morning comes,

the sun will rise

and give us one more chance

to open our eyes and realize..

WE MUST CHERISH WHAT WE HAVE

WHILE THEY'RE STILL HERE.

Yes, the sun has set for this great man,

but it will rise again,

and at that time

we will see him in Heaven.

But until then,

we must spend Love and Time

because those are two things that can't be taken away

once they're given to another.

See, love is a feeling and term of endearment..

and time, well time is of the essence.. a blessing to say the least,

but at least,

I can stand here proud and say

"That's my GranDaddy, resting in peace,"

and he is now with the Lord,

so his soul is at ease.
